As part of the activities surrounding the launch of the EMINENCE Project, ISM held its annual scientific meeting on June 10, 2026, continuing its longstanding tradition of bringing together leading researchers and partners to exchange knowledge and advance scientific collaboration.
The meeting gathered members of the ISM Scientific Advisory Committee, representing renowned research laboratories and institutions from around the world. Participants included Dr. Adrian Hopkins, Dr. Amy Klion, Prof. Charles McKenzie, Barbara Roth, Sébastien Pion, and several other distinguished experts and scientific partners.
The program was organized into two main sessions.
The first session featured presentations on the scientific activities and ongoing collaborations of ISM’s key partners, including Helen Keller International, The Carter Center, Sightsavers, and Medicines Development for Global Health (MDGH).
The second session focused on major research topics, including:
- Stroke research
- Loiasis
- Health economics
- Social sciences within the EMINENCE Project
- Modeling strategies for the elimination of onchocerciasis in Cameroon.
The discussions, which began at 1:30 p.m., concluded around 6:00 p.m. following a series of insightful and highly productive exchanges.
This annual scientific meeting once again highlights ISM’s commitment to promoting collaborative, rigorous, and impactful research that contributes to innovative solutions for public health challenges.
