MINRESI and ISM Framework Agreement

On December 23, 2025, the Ministry of Scientific Research and Innovation (MINRESI) and the Higher Institute for Scientific and Medical Research (ISM) signed a Framework Agreement of cooperation.

The ceremony, held in Yaoundé, brought together the Minister, Dr. Madeleine Tchuente, the Founder and Director General of ISM, Prof. Joseph Kamgno, along with several distinguished figures from the scientific and institutional community.

This agreement aims to reinforce collaboration between the ministry and ISM, develop joint projects in health and biomedical sciences, and enhance the training of young researchers through doctoral and postdoctoral programs. It also seeks to increase Cameroon’s international visibility in research and innovation.

Prof. Joseph Kamgno stated: “This Framework Agreement is an opportunity for ISM to contribute even more to Cameroon’s scientific development, while strengthening the training of young researchers.”

The signing marks a decisive step in building a lasting partnership between MINRESI and ISM, paving the way for a new scientific dynamic capable of addressing health and technological challenges in Cameroon and Central Africa.
